He was a scholar student, however he didn't succeed. He calls himself an "ADW/YD" which stands for the patient "only able(A) to do(D) what he wants(W)"/"Yaritai(Y) koto shika dekinai(D)". As an otaku, he has a strong obsession towards anime and manga. He was a young Physics genius who wrote a thesis that was published in the science magazine "Nature and Science" when he was only 17 years old.

Eventually, his sister, Kagami Suzune, gets him out of the house by getting him a job at his alma mater as a Physics teacher.
The plot is centered around Kagami Junichirou and how, through his personality and style (and his schemes), he goes about helping the students in his class as well as inspiring them. His lessons normally involve video games or some other form of entertainment that allows him, as the otaku he is, to keep his attention as a teacher in school. As the series progresses, Junichirou becomes a teacher at Ichou Academy, the little sister school which has a more prestigous counterpart. The main branch of the school is where all the smart and bright students go and is promptly described as an educational prison with its principal being strict, demanding, and enforcing obedience. Junichirou later finds out that his teaching post at the subbranch of Ichou Academy was a test to see if he was worthy (more so "interesting" enough) to become a teacher at the main branch. Through a series of events that take place with the main branches principal (who is still in her teens) as well as the principle of Ichou Academy (the main branches principal's cousin as well as chairman of school the whole Academy), Junichirou decides that the main branch's current principal is not worthy of her position and brazenly claims that he will become the main branch's principal. He then selects a group of students from Ichou Academy and they all move to the main branch to attempt to reach the rank of SS through a series of matches known as "Group Wars". In every match both teams bet points and the winning team takes the points the other team bets. Points at the main branch are essential and you have to continuously compete with everyone since if  you lose all your points you are expelled. A main fact for competition being nesscessary is the ranking system from E to the rank of SS, E consisting of mainly farm work and destitute living condition and SS being the top of the food chain. Junichirou and his team start of at the lowest rank of E and have to work their way up. However it seems it wont be that simple to reach SS rank as you would need to not only collect points to rank up but also have to recruit other teams into wanting to become your subordinates a.k.a. "Child". Rank SS is collecting all the groups and points under your belt, and the he has a time limit of 3 months. Will he make it? YES HE HAS DONE IT
